Sugar Hollow Solar is hiring a brand new Solar Electrical Helper! This position primarily assists the Electrical Crew Leader in the installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, performing tasks such as carrying materials, preparing work areas, running wires, securing components and cleaning up sites, while gaining hands-on experience in the solar electrical field; this role requires basic electrical knowledge and the ability to follow instructions precisely under the supervision of a licensed electrician.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Handles materials helping to load and unload equipment, carry solar panels, mount structures and wiring to the installation site
Prepares sites by cleaning work areas, removing debris and assisting with access
Cleans, organizes and maintains electrical work van
Adapts to changing schedules and other adjustments through strong communication with the Electrical Crew Leader
Performs installation tasks for battery systems alongside photovoltaic systems
Performs installation tasks for wiring and conduits on new construction sites
Strips and cuts wire, runs electrical conduit and connects solar panels to inverters
Assists in quality checks, verifying proper placement and alignment of solar panels
Maintains clean work environment by removing packaging materials and debris from the worksite
Adheres to safety procedures and wears necessary protective gear and reports safety risks to Electrical Crew Leader and other members of the team
Engages with customers in a professional and friendly manner
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months of experience in residential or commercial electrical wiring, repair or maintenance work
Experience installing or servicing electrical vehicle charging stations, residential battery systems or solar panel components preferred
OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification preferred
Valid driver license required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Basic understanding of electrical concepts and safety procedures
Ability to utilize basic hand tools like drills, wrenches and measuring tapes
Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions and kneel, crouch, crawl and work in tight spaces for extended periods of time
Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
Strong attention to detail
