As the forests green up, farms begin to stir, and rivers run full with spring rain, we’re launching Spring into Solar — a season-long celebration of sustainability, community, and energy resilience.
This spring, we’re bringing together solar power, conservation, and meaningful local impact through a series of events and initiatives designed to support our neighbors and the landscapes that sustain life here in the Southern Appalachians.
Throughout the season, we’ll be out in the community attending events, hosting giveaways, and sharing how solar energy can help protect the forests, farms, and waters that make this region so special. Because the transition to clean energy isn’t just about lowering power bills — it’s about caring for the places we call home.
Whether you’re interested in renewable energy, supporting local nonprofits, or celebrating the natural beauty of the Carolina’s, we’d love for you to be part of Spring into Solar. 🌿☀️

How it works:
Participants will receive the number of entries per line item they complete. At the end of the contest, Sugar Hollow will tally the entries and select the 10 entrants with the highest number of entries. A winner will be selected from those 10 entrants in a random drawing the day of the winner announcement. 1st and 2nd place prizes will be awarded. Each of the final 10 entrants has an equal chance of being selected for the Solar Battery Giveaway.
Giveaway rules:
Sugar Hollow Solar employees and their immediate families are ineligible to participate in the giveaway promotion.
Must enter between March 20 - June 15.
Must be 18 years of age to participate.
Winners will be announced on June 18th via social media and contacted via messenger/email.
There will be two winners with a 1st and 2nd place prize.

Community Connections
Like many others in WNC, Sugar Hollow Solar faced significant losses in Hurricane Helene.
As we rebuild, we are committed to a more sustainable future for ourselves and our community. In response, we’re introducing the Repower WNC Fund, in partnership with the Nonprofit, Earthshine Nature Community Assistance Program, which focuses on directing funds to renewable energy projects that will support long-term recovery and resilience in Western North Carolina. Our goal is not only to restore what was lost but to build back greener and stronger, ensuring that our community is better prepared for future challenges. Through this initiative, we aim to provide clean energy solutions for individuals, businesses, and community spaces impacted by the hurricane, helping to create a brighter, more sustainable future for everyone.
Forests, Waters & Solar—A Perfect Springtime Partnership
This season, we’re celebrating the connection between clean energy and the landscapes that sustain us. With our friends at Conserving Carolina, we’ll be highlighting the importance of protecting forests, farmland, and waterways, sharing tips for supporting local ecosystems, and showcasing the natural beauty that makes the Southern Appalachians so special. Because a healthier planet starts with caring for the land and waters we all rely on!
